  1. Here is a poem that I wrote for my mother Dorothy Ann Reado Jones
~A Matriarch gone but will never be forgotten~
You made me laugh, you have seen me cry,
You answered my questions when I asked you why
About things in life and how things work
I’m so glad I’m a piece of you, I know my worth
I’ll never see you again in this world I know
But you’ll forever be with me and I have bestowed
An angel watching over me until we meet again
That glorious moment is what I’ll depend
To get me through these days without you
Here on earth and days end and days on through
Mother I’m glad I met you and I’m glad we entwined
This great life together and I am glad I will feel fine
Due to know you have become an Angel to watch over me
You’ve gained your wings and now you are free
Written by Author Tanya Rena Jefferson-Jones (Your one and only daughter).
This is a tribute to my mother, Dorothy Ann Jones. I’m so sorry to share that she passed away on October 28th, 2025. She would have celebrated her 81st birthday on October 31st, 2025.
“Rest well!~ I love you ~ my trophy of a illustrious woman!!”

  2. A beautiful woman of God. An angel and an overseer of those she promised pure love. A witness of life that exposed the good and the bad. A strong woman that held on to her dreams and commitment to her family. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten!

  3. To my Aunt Dorothy. I will always remember the good times we share together. You were like a Big Sister to me as I was growing up and you knew when to be an Aunt to me also. Your Memory of you will always live in my heart and I will miss you May you rest in peace going to our heavenly father amen
