DOROTHY ELOISE BOWEN

Dorothy Eloise Bowen was born September 23rd, 1929, to Gladys and Joseph Bess and was raised in Refugio Texas. She graduated from St Peter Claver Academy here in San Antonio Texas. She was united in holy matrimony to Napoleon Bowen September 24th, 1950. Four children were born to this union. Sandra, Lisa, Nina and Vanessa. She was preceded in death by her daughter Vanessa mother and father, Uncle Andrew Thomas, brother Vincent Bess and sisters Patty Jean Walls and Christine Tilley, nephew Cornell Tilley and Grandnephew Karl Michael Douglas
Survived by daughters Sandra Williams, Lisa Smith, and Nina Bryant and niece Jacqueline Tilley Douglas.  Grandchildren Quinton Williams, Tremayne Williams, Henry Williams, Edmond Menefee Jr, Resa Velasques, Lynnitha Velasques, Vonda Velasques Whitney Bowen, 
Christopher Bryant, Grandnephews Brandon Davidson, Cornell Tilley II and Christopher Tilley and grandnieces Sheila Tilley, Shanell Tilley and Rachel Phillips and a host of great and great-great grandchildren and loving relatives.
Dorothy was lovingly called Dottie by her husband and Mootie by relatives and family friends. She was also referred to as the Queen Bee. She was a gentle person who touched everyone's lives in a special way. A devout Christian whom the Lord graciously blessed to be in our presence for 95 years. To God be the glory
