Dorothy Loraine Aldridge was born September 28, 1957, in Bastrop, Tx. Dorothy was an only child born to Joyce Thompson and Floyd Aldridge Jr. She was affectionately known as Tiny Red by many who knew her. At an early age she confessed her faith in Christ and became a member of Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A.B. Henson. Dorothy spent her early childhood growing up in Bastrop where she attended school. Later she moved to San Antonio, where she lived with her mother and stepfather. Dorothy never married, she lived a simple life, she enjoyed music, and knew every song she heard, she loved puzzle books, tending to her plants, and playing dominos, which she would often win.

Dorothy always greeted everyone with a sweet smile. She loved being in the presence of her cousins, they were like her sisters and brothers; she enjoyed joking and playing around with them. Even though she loved all her cousins, while growing up in Bastrop she had a close bond with her cousin Mary. Dorothy was a very brave soul during her long battle with cancer, she remained strong until the end and will truly be missed by all who know her.

Dorothy, is preceded in death by her mother Joyce Thompson Carter her father Floyd Aldridge Jr. her stepfather Carl Carter both her maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memories her uncle, aunts, cousins, and friends who all loved her very much.
