ROBBIE ANN MITCHELL

Robbie Mitchell began her life journey on April 1, 1950, born to Robert and Alma (Rainey) Arnold in Seguin, Texas.

Robbie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Marlin TX where she met her future husband, Sam Mitchell and went on to attend the University of North Texas.

Sam and Robbie were married on November 21, 1968 and moved to Houston in 1973 where Sam would begin his career as a Civil Engineer. Robbie had multiple brief stints in the workforce after they relocated to San Antonio in 1978, but her heart and passion was in caring for her family by creating a beautiful, loving and supportive home for her husband, children and grandchildren.

Sam and Robbie joined St. John Baptist Church in 1978. Shortly after joining St. John, Sam was ordained a deacon by Rev. J.C. Bailey and Robbie faithfully served as a deacon’s wife, choir member, senior’s group and many other capacities called upon to serve in. Sam and Robbie continued to faithfully serve in these capacities under current Pastor, Rev. Herman Price, Jr.

Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years Sam Mitchell and daughter Andrea Mitchell-Reed. Robbie leaves to cherish her memories son Brian Mitchell (Nashon) grandsons, Deonte’ Reed, Brian Mitchell Jr, Landon Mitchell and a number of cousins and close friends.
