CLIFFORD L WASHINGTON

January 3, 1932 ~ July 1, 2023

Clifford Washington was born January 3, 1932, in Brackenridge, Texas. He was born to the proud parents of Willie and Willie Paul Washington. He received his formal education from the Fort Worth Independent School District attending I.M. Terrell High School. After completing his formal studies, he joined the U.S. Airforce in 1953 and served 20 years as an Aircraft mechanic. Later, he worked for Frederick Air Conditioning Company for 15 years.

He was united in marriage with Viola L. Washington on March 19, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas. They raised four beautiful children together: Clifford L. Washington Jr., Yvonne Washington, Barbara Smith, and Michael Washington.

Clifford enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling the world. He was a loving, caring, selfless man who was willing to help and give to whomever was in need. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family. He also loved to eat his butter pecan ice cream and cake in the evenings.

On Saturday, July 1, 2023, Cliff was called home by our Lord and savior to glory. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie and Willie Paul Washington; his sisters, Barbara Warren and Irene Powell; his son, Michael Washington; and daughter, Yvonne Washington.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are: his wife, Viola; children, Clifford, Barbara; 6 grandchildren, Claire Dube, Candice Smith, Christopher Washington, Latrice Washington, Brian Smith, and Nicole Washington; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Giving thanks to family and friends for all the love, support, phone calls, and cards. We appreciate everyone who came out to celebrate and remember the life of Clifford Washington.

This is not the end, but the beginning of eternal life.
