WILLIE MAE WHITE

February 16, 1949 ~ April 10, 2023

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8 KJV

Willie Mae White was born February 16, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas to the late Mary Helen and Willie Kennedy. She was affectionately called “Mae” by all that knew and loved her. She later moved to San Antonio, Texas where she worked hard taking care of her family and others for 32 years.

She was a devoted disciple of God and professed this in every aspect of her life. She became a member of Living Way Church where she attended until her health began to fail. She loved helping everyone and she welcomed you with loving hugs and kisses every time she saw you. She was an amazing cook and infamous for her gumbo. She was holy with a little “sprinkle” of hood and could play a mean hand at cards. She was a true soldier of solidarity and never changed. A true gem.

Mae was blessed to be born into such a loving family and surrounded by three brothers and seven sisters. She later married the love of her life, Earnest White Jr, who preceded her in death. They raised four amazing children in this union and taught them to always treat others as they wanted to be treated. She was able to see her children marry, have careers and families.

Also preceding her death are her siblings Mary Katherine Malveaux, Abe Brown and Vernon Kennedy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three loving and devoted daughters Tonya Bluitt (Gregory Bluitt III), Veronica George (Kelvin George), Rene Adams (Derek Adams) and one loving and devoted son Blaine White (Tamara White); 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

She fasted for 40 days during lent season and was blessed to be called home the day after he rose. Amen
