Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My condolences to the family and all who loved Pete . He was my Sleeper brother at NTSU and I have very fond memories in Denton of “Little” Pete . Take your rest now in Heaven 💚💛🙏🏽🙏🏽.

  2. I first met Pete in 1975 as students at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. We immediately bonded as members of the Wisconsin Sleepers social service organization. Pete (Lil-Pete) and I became close friends and briefly lived together after my graduation. Over the years we all went separate ways; only connecting around homecomings. Over the past year, Pete and I agreed that life was too short and that we needed to connect more often, along with other college friends, by video conference.

We had just met 2 weeks before learning of his passing. Lil-Pete was well liked by everyone he came in touch with. I have life long fond memories of the times I was in his presence. We are all saddened but thankful that he came into our lives. Rest easy Lil-Pete.

  3. He wanted us to sing “Happy Birthday” to him on our last video call. Maybe he knew, but God did know that it would be the last time his friends of over 45 years would see him. It was partly his idea to have the video calls. He said he wanted all of us to “check on each other” every now and then. But, that was the type of person he was. Kind, caring, always willing to help, and always with that infectious smile. He helped make the Sleepers what we were. They don’t make friends better than Pete. That’s why I will miss him so.
