ALVIN RAYMOND WASHINGTON, SR.

Alvin Raymond Washington Sr. “Brother”, age 87 of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 16, 2022, after living a blessed full life.

He was born in Navasota, Texas, on October 21, 1935. He graduated from Wheatley High School in San Antonio, Texas, and continued on to receive a Liberal Arts degree from St. Phillip’s College in 1974.

Alvin was married to Goldie Marie Walker on December 6, 1965, and they were married 57 years.  To this union two children were born, Antrenett Washington and Alvin Washington Jr.

He worked as a Warehouse Foreman at Kelly Air Force Base for over 20 years.  He enjoyed traveling, cooking and visiting with family and friends. 

Alvin is survived by the love of his life, wife Goldie Washington, two children Antrenett (Ezekiel) Benitez and Alvin Washington Jr, three grandchildren Denzell Washington, Rosten Benitez and Jordan Benitez.  Two sisters Gladys (Ernest) Evans and Jeraline Green, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Ruby Washington, brother Fred Washington Sr., and sister Hattie Pettus.
