James Clayton Campbell Jr

On October 26, 2022, James Clayton Campbell, Jr, 78, was called home by God.

 

James was born in San Antonio, Texas to James Clayton Campbell, Sr. and Annie Mae (Scott) Campbell on July 23, 1944. He attended public school in San Antonio (Cuney Elementary School, Riley Junior High School) and graduated from Brackenridge High School before attending school at San Antonio College. He married Tynnie (Cochran) Campbell on June 30, 1973. One child was born to that union: Pamela Renee Campbell. Before retiring from Kelly Air Force Base as a machine tool operator, he worked in construction as a welder and for the Friedrich Air Conditioner manufacturing company. As a construction worker, he was proud of the work he completed all over the city, including Audie Murphy Memorial Veteran Hospital. He was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the Army as a sergeant.  He was a loyal member of the local American Legion organization. 

 

James C. Campbell, Jr. is preceded in death by his wife, Tynnie Campbell, his grandparents, his father, James C. Campbell, Sr., his brother Edward Campbell, and his niece Dawn Sance.

 

James C. Campbell, Jr. is survived by daughter Pamela Campbell, bonus son Terrill Lewis (Annette), bonus grandson Terrill Lewis, Jr., bonus granddaughter Tia Lewis, his mother Annie Mae Campbell, brother Joe Campbell (Barbara), sister Debbie Sance, sister Mary Campbell, uncle Charles Walker (Gloria), and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
