Miss Sarah, as we all loved to call her, was such sweet kind and loving person to all who knew her in the North San Antonio Retired Teachers Association. She and Mr. McGrew were were faithful members of our organization and attended regularly until Mr. McGrew became ill. He would always dress in a coat, tie and hat while she wore her best dresses every month. I so enjoyed greeting them when they came into the fellowship hall, she’d always had a big smile on her face and called me “Sweetie”. How I miss those moments. Please know our NSARTA family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Mrs. McGrew was an angel in my life. Not only do I remember her painstaking patience with me when she tutored me for 4th grade mathematics, she was also teaching me what I would later realize was one of life’s most valuable lessons— love and tolerance have no limits. May Mrs. McGrew be comforted in her eternal rest with God, her husband and all who welcome her home.
Sis McGrew was always faithful member to Mt Zion First Baptist. She , her husband an two sons were always there actively in worship. She will be greatly missed. My prayers and deepest condolences to her sons.
