Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mildred was a family treasure. She loved helping others. She devoted her life to caring for the sick. She cared for our mother, father, sisters, and aunts. Her door was always open to help when someone need a place to stay. We all looked up to her and admired her spirit of giving and love. She will be sorely missed by all, but she will always be present in our hearts and minds. We love you Chicken always.

  2. My mom, Ossie Lee was Aunt Chickens oldest sister. When my mom got homesick, she would grab me and my sister and drive from Denver to Texas. Aunt Chicken was so special and always made us welcome. It was so nice to see all the aunts, uncles and cousins. So many wonderful memories. Time goes by so fast. I will never forget all of the special memories and how much love I will always have. Lesa, your mom loved you to pieces. I wish I could be there to hug you. Take care. Love you.

  3. My heart is deeply saddened to hear of my Aunt Mildred passing. There’s so many memories I will always cherish of her love for us. Anything you needed. She would do what she could to provide. Hot meals, wedding flowers, words of encouragement, her door was always open. She helped raise us all and all of our children. A true Matriarch indeed. We loved her dearly. Lesa, my heart felt sympathy for you at this time. I pray God comforts you and wraps his loving arms around you. It’s truly tough losing a parent, especially a mother. I hold you in my prayers and love you eternally. Rest Peacefully Queen Mildred. Job Well done, You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

  4. To my friends Earnestine and Herbert, I am deeply saddened for the loss of Chicken. May Gods love comfort you and the Bailey family during this time of sorrow and always. I have many fun and wonderful memories of Earnestine, Chicken and myself. May she rest in sweet loving peace.

  5. Aunt Mildred will truly be missed. When me, Rickie, and Shelia were younger Aunt Mildred stayed with us to help our parent’s while they worked. We loved it . She was always cooking and really cared for us. She was like our stay at home mom. She eventually moved back to Texas and we were heart broken. God had better plans for her and that was to be a loving mom to her own daughter Elizabeth and to be there for her Brothers and Sisters. You will be missed Aunt Mildredbut we know we will see you soon so rest in the loving arms of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. We Love You. Michelle & Larry

  6. Mildred (Chicken) was a second cousin to me (Boyd), son of Judy Hall Nelson. We just celebrated her beautiful birthday with her and she was so appreciative and welcoming. Our condolences goes out to the family and our continuous prayers are with the family. On behalf of the Hall family with much Love. You will be truly missed but never forgotten, beautiful lady.
