Albert Tatum Glass was born to Charlie and Bertha Tatum Sr. on November 28 ,1931 in Columbus, Tx. Alberta received Christ at an early age. She graduated Valedictorian from Columbus High School.
Alberta, her husband Wilson W. Glass and her children joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Schulenburg, Tx. She later joined Pleasant Grove Baptist church in Virginia in 1991.
Alberta attended Tillotson College in Austin, Tx. She was a dedicated worker as a Nurses Assistant and retired as a Medication Aide after 48 years at Colonial Nursing Home, Schulenburg, Tx.
Alberta married Wilson W. Glass in this union two children were born:
Michael Glass and Dr. Virginia Glass Berry
She is preceded in death by:
Wilson W. Glass (Husband), Charlie Tatum Sr. (Father), Bertha Tatum (Mother), Sisters and Brothers: Maudester, Marjorie, Gloria, Charlie Jr., Maxclee, Irene, Grandson: Darrell Wright Glass, Niece and Nephew Portia Tatum and Pastor Dr. Artis Glass, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Dr. Virginia Glass Berry, Retired Principal (daughter) (Retired Col. Pharisse Berry), Retired Vet Michael Glass (son) Sister: Mira T. Owens, Grandchildren: Stacey Anderson, Real Estate Broker (Louis Anderson, Teacher/Coach), Pharisse Berry, Jr. (Teacher/Coach), Charisse Michael Berry (Psychologist). Great Grandchildren: Darius Tanner (Texas A&M), Darien Tanner (attending Angelo State Unv.), Brooklyn Reese Berry, Ilhan Virginia Berry. Godchildren: Dollie Coleman, Cynthia & Joe Bridges. Nieces and Nephews: Cherries Britt (Retired Nurse), Cynthia Stevenson (Reggie) (Retired Education), Jalynn Lee (Retired Education), Jack Tatum, Felicia Tatum, Maxclee Tatum, Charlotte Tatum, Charlie Tatum, Broderick Tatum, Mark Tatum, Keith Tatum, Chuck Tatum, and a host of Great Nieces and Nephews.
