MARY MARGARET MURRAY

Mary Margaret Murray, 90 years old, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Friday, January 21, 2022, at her home in San Antonio.  She was a long-time resident of San Antonio where she lived since her husband’s retirement from the U.S. Air Force in 1972. 

Employed by the Northside Independent School District for 10 years, Mary was a sought-after teacher for Mackey, a school for special needs children.

She loved to cook and was quick to try new recipes.   She also enjoyed reading, solving puzzle games, antiquing, and using her ‘green thumb’ for beautiful plants.  You would often hear her singing “Somebody Bigger than You and I” and “He Got the Whole World in His Hands” throughout the house tinkering with her plants.

Mary is reunited in heaven with her husband of 61 years, Edward W. Murray, who preceded her in death six years ago to date of her passing.

Left to honor her life are sons, Kevin Murray; Anthony Murray; daughter, Tammie Murray; brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Cecil L. Murray; grandchildren: April Cohee, Corey Murray, Isaiah Murray; sisters: Clara Davis and Cheryl Davis; and brother, Jiles Davis.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
