Edwin P Flowers, 97, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on January 4, 2022 in San Antonio.

 

Edwin P Flowers was born Lavaca County, Texas to Arthur Flowers and Ethel Stevens-Flowers on October 31, 1924. He went to school at Hilliard High in Bay City, Senior Class President. He married Georgia Bell Dukes-Flowers on June 22, 1950 in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Sam Huston College. He worked as a Computer Operator for Kelly Air Force for 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II served in the Army and was awarded the following medals Distinguished Unit Badge, World War II Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal. He was involved in D.A.V. and belonged to numerous bowling leagues, won the Senior mixed City bowling tournament, 2 titles coaching the Braves at Lincoln Park little league. He played baseball and softball, also had a strong passion for gardening and cooking.

 

Edwin P Flowers is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Flowers, and Ethel Stevens-Flowers, Siblings-Jonas Flowers, Venora Williams, Vella Holloway, Jewel Hubbard, Velton Flowers, Oswald Flowers, Dorothy Norris, Ethel Flowers, Daughter-Linda Flowers- Smith, Wife-Georgia Dukes-Flowers

 

Edwin P Flowers is survived by Son-Anthony Flowers and wife Alma Hall-Flowers, Daughter-Marva Gail Flowers, Grandchildren–Karen L Smith, Brandon Williams and Great-Grandchildren – Ashley Williams, Brandon Williams, jr., Bryce Williams, and Bralynne Williams. Nephews, Nieces, Son n Law Melvin D Smith, Brother n Laws Alex Porter, and Samuel Wilson)
