NESBY BEASLEY

Deacon Nesby Beasley passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the age of 84. He was born February 25, 1937, in Winchester, Texas to Edward and Victoria Beasley.  Nesby was the last born of their five children. Upon graduating from La Grange High School in May of 1955 Mr. Beasley enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for over 11 years in both the Regular and Reserve Air Force.  He was honorably discharged May 12, 1967.  Nesby then completed course work at Ohio State University but received his college degree later in life – 1997 Guadalupe College.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Winchester, Texas and was an active member at West End Baptist Church in San Antonio serving as a deacon and church elder.  Nesby married Ethel Bennett in 1961 and then Shirley Sayles in 1981.  Shirley and Nesby remained married for 40 years.

Nesby is preceded in death by his parents Edward Beasley and Victoria Beasley; and his siblings Clayburn Beasley, Adell Wilson, Raymond Beasley, and Edward Beasley Jr.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife Shirley Beasley; sons Edvin Beasley and his wife Angie Beasley, and Erskine Mack; daughter Tracie Beasley; nieces Sharron Burleson, Valda Morgan, and Sharley Hill; nephew Tony Beasley and his wife Julie Beasley; and grandchildren Khiara Beasley, Kailyn Wilson, Khaden Beasley, Dean Beasley, Miles Beasley, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

  2. He was welcomed by our family and from that day forward became like family! Always willing to serve in any capacity needed! He will definitely be missed! Now he is in Heaven with the rest of our family and other members whom have already gone before.
