Linda Joyce Trottie – Matthews (BUFFIE), 68, of Converse, Tx, passed away on Monday, April 12th, 2021 in San Antonio, Tx

Linda Joyce Trottiie-Matthews was born at Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville, LA to Lillie Mae Chambers – Trottie and Willie Trottie Sr. on Easter Sunday, April 4th, 1953. She graduated from Peabody Magnet High School, in Alexandria, La. She married Charles Garrett Sr. on June 7th, 1971 in Alexandria, LA. She later remarried Joseph Benard Matthews on Sep, 13, 2003, in Houston, Tx. She retired from her position as an Administration Clerk at the City of Houston Municipal Court after 20 years. She served in the Army National Guard in which she became an honorable disabled veteran.

Linda Joyce Trottie – Matthews is preceded by both parents, Willie and Lillie Trottie. Two sisters, Katy Mae Trottie and Johnnie Mae Smith, Two Brothers, Nathaniel (Sonny) Trottie, and Lewis Trottie

Linda Joyce Trottie – Matthews is survived by her spouse, Joesph Benard Matthews, and Daughter, Umekki Garrett – Henry (Tyra Henry), and her spouse, Donald Ray Henry, her son Charles Ray Garrertt Jr. and his spouse, LaCrasha Rideaux – Garrett. Step-Daughter Jazmine Guyton and her spouse Jonathon Guyton. Her brothers, Earl Trottie, Willie Trottie Jr., and Robert Trottie. Her Sisters Betty Ann Marves, Ethel Lee Tyler-Trottie, Daa’iyah Roberts, And Rosalind Moss. Her Grandchildren Khiry and Amari Petrell Marshall, Charles Ray Garrett III (Tre), Jaydon Charles Garrett, Kaycee Ryleigh Garrett, Jisele and Jiana Guyton. Her Great Grandchildren, Andres Henry Marshall and Gabriela Marshall, her Grand-dog Pepper Ray Henry and a plethora of nieces and nephews and friends.
