Ada ( Fannie) Marie Winner was born to John and Ada Winner on September 9, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas, the youngest of eight children. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death: Gladys, Iris (Bookie), twins Nessie & Inez, Tumptie, Peter and Jean Marie.
Fannie attended public school in the San Antonio school system.
Fannie loved cooking and as a result had culinary talent. Boy, she could cook! Her other enjoyments during her younger years was gardening and had one of the prettiest yards in the neighborhood.
Fannie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Savior and was a long time, active member of Westridge Park First Baptist Church.
Fannie was married to Andrew Dawson and from this union had three daughters, Barbara Christophe of Las Vegas, NV, Brenda Islam of Long Beach, CA and Iris King of Las Vegas, NV.
Fannie met and married Claude Lincoln in Seguin, TX on October 22, 1955. Lincoln preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage.
Fannie’s oldest granddaughter, Yolanda Word preceded her in death.
Fannie is survived by her three daughters, Niece Joyce Bryant of San Antonio, TX, Granddaughters Patricia Word of San Antonio, TX, Kimberly Lewis, Los Angeles, CA, Teresa King, Las Vegas, NV, Yasmeen Islam, Long Beach, Ca, ;Grandsons Brian Tolliver, Dallas, TX, Darrell King Sr., Corcoran, CA, William Word, Long Beach, CA, Jamaal Islam, Long Beach, CA, Ahmed Islam, Long Beach, CA, Hakim Islam, Long Beach, CA and a host of Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
