LAWRENCE BOLDEN, JR.

September 30, 1945 ~ May 23, 2020

Lawrence Gason Bolden Jr., was on September 30, 1945 in Gonzales, TX; to the parents of L.G. Bolden (Father) & Beatrice Lucille Carroll (Mother) which both preceded him death as well as his first wife Betty. Growing up he was a member of Providence B/C, in Gonzales TX., where he sung in choir, he attend the Gonzales ISD where he graduation high school in 1963 & graduation he joined the Army @ which time he severed until 1972, where he was also in the Vietnam War & became a POW & a Hero in his hometown of Gonzales, TX.

After his returned from the Military, he moved to San Antonio, TX where he married his second wife Vivian Gaskin, which later ended in divorce. A few years later Lawrence met & then married Mary Griffin, March 22, 1980; this union produce one son. Lawrence was a very active person & enjoyed life to the fullest no matter what anyone said or thought about him, he was going to do it his way. He loved children & was always trying to help them out in some way, In August 2011 he had a stroke @ which time his became a long term resident of Pecan Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, until his earthly life journey came to an end.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary, his children son Terrance Bolden Sr.  (Quintana), San Antonio, TX, daughter Tamicka Griffin (Zell) Columbia, SC & step-daughter LaTanya Griffin (Ryan) San Antonio, TX, God-Daughter Brooke Williams Houston, TX,, ten grandchildren Tamara Fleurant (Ralph) Travis AFB, Travis CA, Sedrick Clay (Gabriell),San Antonio TX, T’Keyah Griffin Columbia, SC, Warren Griffin Miami FL, Meoshi Griffin San Antonio, TX, Nubian Harrison Columbia, SC, Terrance Bolden Jr. Tyrell Bolden, Caleb Griffin, & Kendra Blackwell all of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind two Brothers Jimmie Bolden (Welder, TX) & Lloyd Bolden (Carolyn) of Gonzales TX, also a great host of nieces & nephew, plus many other relatives & friends Besides his parents his was also proceeded in death by one grandson Jovanta Mims, two Sisters Bernice Ford San Antonio, TX, Mamie Yodder CA & two Brothers James Bolden San Antonio, TX & Carl Bolden, Gonzales, TX.
