LEOLA DORIS WALLACE

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Leola Doris Wallace, who is the wife of Mr. Allee Wallace.

Mrs. Wallace transitioned on Saturday, March 21, 2020. 

Please pray for Zenzi, Turk, Mr. Wallace and their family as they mourn the passing of a Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and good friend.

Leola Doris Wallace, a military spouse, retired and celebrated fashion designer/seamstress, departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the age of 84.

Born Leola Doris Gails on May 6, 1935, Leola was the daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle Gails of Hempstead, Texas; mother of Zenzi Ferrell-Lewis (Ginette) and Allee (Turk) Wallace Jr.; sister of seven siblings, five brothers and two sisters, who preceded her in death; C.P. Carter, Leroy Ward, Oscar Gails Jr., Elvin Gails, Melvin Gails, Lottie Kennard, and Birdie Gails. 
She is survived by her Husband of 63 years renowned San Antonio free-lance photographer Allee A. Wallace Sr.; daughter Zenzi (Wallace) Ferrell-Lewis(Ginette) and Son Allee A.(Turk) Wallace Jr., four grandchildren; Ashley Ferrell, Na'Toree Ferrell, Troix Kizzee and Stefan Ferrell.

Six great grandchildren; Greyson, Aniya, Gavin, Hayden, Elijah and Laila and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, the funeral service and burial will be private followed by a memorial at a later date. The family would like to express thanks to her devoted Husband of 63 years for unparalleled caregiving, including dedicated doctors and staff of SAMMC (San Antonio Military Medical Center) and the amazing staff of VITAS Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit.
