Guestbook

  1. Soft spoken and to the unobservant a man of few words. HOWEVER, you better had listened to everyone of those few words because there was a valuable lesson in each syllable.  I knew  “Uncle Booker”, the man, an integral part of the village that raised us children in Willowwood Estates and Meadowview North. He was a pillar of my neighborhood, my Church this community my Entire life. I have memories dating from the mid 60’s of he and Auntie Connye which will forever be ingrained into my fabric, and building blocks and life lessons on my journey to adulthood.  From BBQ’s, card parties, Holidays, learning to operate his lawn tractor as a little boy, and later in life just enjoying conversation with him from East Texas tales, Tuskegee experiences and his love of Christ and the Bible. I was even blessed to have the opportunity to be his student during a summer session at St. Phillips College (I thought sure being a “relative” would earn me an easy A, another Life lesson: with Booker TC Cameron, you EARNED every grade you got. No shortcuts, favors or corner cutting (Coincidentally Auntie Connye gave me an A that semester.
He will be missed but never forgotten, 54 years of inspiration and knowledge earned for this”nephew”. I will see you again Uncle Booker and we will continue our chats, laughs and memories. Save me a seat  in the Upper Room. (He love that publication). 👼🙏
