TERRY D. EWING, SR.

March 8, 1948 ~ June 20, 2019

We Celebrate the Life of Terry Ewing.

To your close family and friends you were Butch. To the world, you were Terry and to your children you were Daddy.

On June 20, 2019 Terry D. Ewing, Sr. took his last breath at 8:46 pm in human form that allowed his spirit to float unto the heavens. God has been preparing a place for him to be with us always.

On March 8, 1948, a handsome baby boy was born in Waelder, Texas to the late Margaret Merriweather and Joe A. Ewing. He received his education at Rosenwald High School in Luling, Texas. He later moved to San Antonio where he graduated from St. Peter’s Catholic School.

Whether you called him Butch, Terry, or Daddy, his memory will be cherished.  He loved to be around people and was a free spirit.  He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and painting. He was quite an artist you know. He loved most of all hanging out with family and friends.

He united with Mary Alice and fathered three handsome boys, Terry Ewing Jr., Leonard Ewing, and Yancey Lamont Ewing.

In 1971, he married Wendy Ewing of 43 years and made beautiful daughter, Sunni Ewing.

He leaves to mourn three children: Terry Jr., Leonard, and Sunni, step-son, Johnny Jackson; grandchildren: Kristen Harper, Isaiah Ewing, Miles Ewing, Stephanie Ewing, Stormi Ewing, and 5 great-grand children; sisters: Emma Jo Pierce and Bridgett Merriweather, Cardia J (deceased); 3 nieces: Twila Napier (deceased) Lynette Napier-Triplett, Juanita Napier; 2 nephews: Tevin Russell Tyler Merriweather, and a host of great nieces and nephews, family and friends.

To know you are with us.
