ANDREW TONEY, SR.
August 14, 1948 ~ May 30, 2019
On August 14, 1948, Andrew Toney Sr. was born to the union of Benjamin and Irene Toney in Dime Box, Texas. He attended school in Dime Box but, completed his education in San Antonio, TX. He furthered his career, in the U.S. Army.
Andrew had a beautiful daughter, Valencia Toney, with Darlene Williams. He was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Barbra Jarmon Toney in 1972. They had three lovely children: Andrew Toney, Jr., Eric Toney, and Trisha Toney.
Andrew confessed his faith in Christ in 2012 at East End Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX under the leadership of the late Pastor Roy Manning and Emeritus Rev. Clayton Bouldin. He was a very active and faithful member in the church; especially when things around East End needed improvements.
He was a man of very few words, but when he spoke, he captured your attention. Andrew's presence was missed as his health was declining and he will truly be missed now that he has departed this life.
He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Barbra Jarmon Toney, his four children: Valencia Toney, Andrew Toney, Jr., Eric Toney, and Trisha Toney.
