Kathleen LaFond was born in San Antonio Texas on August 17, 1958 to Van McClure and Equla McClure. She attended elementary and junior high in San Antonio Independent School District.
In 1976 Kathy graduated from Sam Houston High School, San Antonio Texas. Kathy and Craig LaFond were married on Dec 18, 1989.
Kathy understood the importance of higher education. Leading by example, she attended St. Phillips School of Nursing, graduating with her LVN degree. Her passion for education was emulated by her children who both have college degrees.
Kathy enjoyed music, dancing, singing, bingo, more bingo and talking to everyone (which is why she has been affectionately called, Chatty Kathy). She loved her family, friends and pets dearly.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Craig LaFond, children (S.E, Kendra and Antoine), younger brother, Tony McClure, and his wife Trish and a host of nieces and nephews and other relative and friends.

McClure/LaFond Families,
May you find comfort and peace in the days ahead. Prayers be with you as you lay to rest your wife, mother, and sister.
Lady Cherokee Class of ’76.
I’m very sorry to read the passing of your beloved Kathleen. Please accept my sincere condolences. I have personally felt comforted by the promise made by God of bringing back to life those who sleep in death (1 Thes. 4:14). So be assured that you’ll be able to hug, kiss and talk to Kathleen again. She will come back into a world free of suffering, sickness and anything that causes us to shed tears of pain (Rev. 21:4). This hope is both sure and firm because Jehova God cannot lie (Heb. 6:18; Titus 1:2). Is my sincere desire that you can also find comfort in this words during this difficult time for you.
