God blessed a son to Frances and Harold Benson on May 31, 1971. Born the first child into a family of five, Marcus was loved dearly by the entire family. God had compassion on Marcus and Sunday afternoon dispatched an angel from Glory to bring Marcus home.
Marcus was born in San Antonio, Texas and was raised on the Southeast of Town. He was educated in the San Antonio School System and soon after graduating high school attended St. Phillips College where he developed a passion for Information Technology. Marcus received his bachelor’s degree in Technical Education at Eastern New Mexico University. With having over twenty years of experience in the IT Profession; Marcus achieved many accomplishments that allowed him to obtain numerous IT certifications that allowed him the opportunity to work as an IT Consultant for various Fortune 500 Companies. In addition, obtained and held the highest-level security clearance that allowed him to support several Department of Defense (DoD) Contracts. Marcus drive and passion for his career lead him to travel to various states over the years and allowed him to open his own IT Company Protocol 3d Consulting LLC.
Later in life Marcus reunited with his High School Sweetheart and they were united in holy matrimony. As his health allowed Marcus and Tina loved to take small trips and would spend all day looking at real-estate.
Marcus possessed a “go getter” attitude that not only motivated his family but friends as well. We all appreciated his intellectual conversations, immeasurable strength and determination he possessed. Qualities this family will exemplify and never be forgotten.
We thank you Marcus for your love, and guidance.
Marcus is at PEACE and no longer suffering.
Marcus is survived by his loving wife Mrs. Tina Benson, mother and father Mrs. Frances and Harold Benson, siblings Sheryl Rena Benson, Kenneth Benson, Monica Chaney-Benson, Ronica Benson, and Jennifer Gaines (Frederick); Three nieces, Two nephews, One Great-nephew and a host of relatives and good friends.

My condolences goes out to the family. Marcus, was simply amazing and he will never be forgotten. R.I.H
