Arthur Dwayne Lincoln, IV

December 8, 1991 ~ August 24, 2018

Arthur Dwayne Lincoln IV was born December 8, 1991 at Ft Riley, Kansas. He traveled with his military mother and grew up on military bases, settling in the San Antonio area in 2005. He raduated from Byron P. Steele High School in Cibolo. Arthur was a comedian and musicianlDJ and loved the culinary arts. His favorite hobbies were playing video games, making music, listening to "old school" music and creating little beats, watching Netflix, bowling, and drawing. He especially loved to write poetry and draw pictures for his beloved mother on special occasions. He worked in a warehouse at the San Antonio Military Medical Center and was also employed by Schlotzsky's.

Arthur loved the Lord and was baptized in 2010 at Maranatha Bible Church where he was a faithful member until his death. He was a member of the College Age Sunday School class, served in a church play, participated in Youth Ministry, volunteered to assist with Hallelujah Night, and served in the Culinary Ministry.

Arthur was an ideal son; he never gave his parents, Jeannette and Allen Childs, any problems. He was a peacemaker, loved everyone, and was very respectful to all he came into contact with. Everyone who knew and loved him called him a "gentle giant" because of his loving and kind personality.

He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories his mom and dad, Jeannette and Allen Childs; father, Arthur Lincoln III; brothers, Alexander Lincoln and Chanceler Lincoln; sister, Brycelynn Lincoln; other siblings, maternal grandparents, Parmena and Annie Ruth Shead; paternal grandmother, Johnnie Childs; paternal grandfather, Arthur Lincoln, Jr.; special aunt, Bobbievette Shead, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

You were not only my best friend but you were also a great person to work with, I’m glad I got to spend High school years with you. You had such an amazing soul, heart, and life of the party, you always had a smile on your face when you walked into a room. When someone wanted to give you a hug, you didn’t let them go until you gave them a tight one haha I will miss your funny dorky jokes, amazing sense of humor, your goofy laugh & that smile of yours. Arthur may you Rest In Peace with the beautiful angels of up their. We love you & will miss you forever & always ❤️ – Love always Alleigh Jo Dunbar

  12. I fondly called my nephew, Arthur “Big Mac” because his mother, my twin sister, Jeannette said she ate Big Macs from McDonald’s when she was pregnant with him. I thought it was a appropriate name so I called him that. So he asked his grandmother, my mother what she ate when she was pregnant with me and his mother. My mother told him “Pickles” so he fondly called his mom, “Momma Pickles” and me, “Auntie Pickles”. That’s how we greeted each other from that day on. I will miss my Big Mac but I know he’s safe in the arms of the Lord now. Love Auntie Bobbi aka Auntie Pickles. 💜💜

  17. It’s been forever since I last spoke to Arthur and I regret that I never made the move to talk to and hang out with him. We met in Germany and lived in San Antonio at the same time. I remember what a sweetheart he was in elementary school and I’m sure nothing has changed. Rest in peace buddy, theres another angel watching over us.
My condolences to his family and friends, I sincerely hope you’re able to find peace during this troubling time.

  18. Blessings and prayers to our beloved family during your time of grieving. Much Love ❤️ Chris and family

  19. To the Lincoln family, in this sorrowful time, the Bailey family would like to extend to you our heartfelt condolences. May our Lord comfort you and your loved ones. Rest in peace Dwayne!!!

  20. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.  Please accept my family’s deepest condolences on your loss.

  21. Seeing the beautiful pictures and memories over the past couple days show just how much your “Super-Man” was loved! His beautiful light will shine on in heaven, but my heart aches deeply you for as a mother. When we can’t find reason, we can pray for peace, and we will be praying with you. So very sorry for your loss and for all those that loved him.

  22. There are no words that can express just how sad I am about Arthur’s passing. I had the pleasure and honor of bring one of his and Alex’s caregivers in Germany, and I must say each memory I have of them is the best. He was always smiling, always willing to help out, especially those younger than him. His silly way of saying Miss Rose, especially when he was in a great mood. I’m so blessed to have kept in touch with the family, seeing both Arthur and Alex grow into the amazing young men I knew they would become. Jeannette, Alex, Allen and the rest of the family you are in my prayers so that God may give you the fortitude to heal in His love knowing Arthur is with Him watching over you. Arthur, I pray God gives you rest and you live on in Heaven…until we meet again…. Miss Rose

  23. I will keep you all in my prayers I remember seeing him in school all the time he didn’t say much but he always smiled and he was very very sweet
