Ruth Yvonne Wells was born on August 19, 1925 to Edward and Hattie Kimble in Houston, Texas. She departed this earthly realm on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wells, Sr. “Handy”; son, Walter Wells, Jr.; siblings: Edward Kimble, Jr., Howard Kimble and Naomi J. Harding and grand-daughter Leslie Wells.
She leaves behind her sons: Lester R. Wells, Gregory E. Wells (Cecilia) and Kevin L. Wells. And her daughters: Rita Y. Frison (Herbert) and Regina D. Gonzalez (George).
She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Nikki, Walter III, Varion, Lisa, Chelsea, Leslie, Jr., Johnathan, Tiffany, Gregory, Jr., Daniel, Shawn, Amanda, LaKeisha, Vincent, Matthew, and Sydney. As well as a host of great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
Mother was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for over sixty years and served on the Mission Ministry. She was also a member of Eastern Star since 1956.
