Early Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018, God came and with love called for His own, and sealed the lips of our beloved son, brother, father, and uncle, Johnny Eli McElroy.
Bro. Johnny E. McElroy was born October 7, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas. He was the oldest of 4 children born to David McElroy and Aline T. Cannady.
He joined church at an early age under the late Rev. C. J. Bias of Westridge Baptist Church. He attended school in San Antonio, Texas. He went on to attend college in Topeka, Kansas on an athletic scholarship. He served his country by joining the U. S. Army assigned to the 5th Infantry Division and was honorably discharged. He received a medal for good conduct. He was active for several years as a youth coach for the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
