Sandra Jean Keno born the eldest of 4 children on April 14, 1949 to Robert Frank Keno, Sr. and Ella Mae (Johnson) Keno in San Antonio, TX. Sandra was baptized in the early 1960's at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church under the late Rev. S.E. Stewart. In 1963 her parents decided to move the family to Palo Alto, CA. where they became members of Peaceful Rest Baptist Church. Sandra graduated from Ravenswood High School in Palo Alto, California. As teenagers Sandra met Lynn Ray Amous, eventually they dated and to them a daughter was born Racquel LaShawn Keno on December 25, 1971. Lynn Ray moved back to Oklahoma with his mother and siblings after the death of his father in 1972. On March 18, 1979, Lovell DeMar Golden was born to Sandra and Jewell Golden. In 1981, Sandra and her sisters moved back to San Antonio, TX. It was March 22, 1991 when Sandra and Lynn Ray reunited and were wed on April 2, 1995. Sandra was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in the late 1990's after a bout with breast cancer. After her retirement she filled her days with being the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother a child could ask for as well as caring for those around her. She cared for her sister Gwen, her father Robert, step-father Herbert, and mother Ella Mae until their deaths. Sandra picked up the reigns as the matriarch head of the family after the death of her mother Ella. She carried on the legacy of strength, love and kindness that extended to all she encountered. Her genuine, helpful, thoughtful spirit will never be forgotten.
Sandra is proceeded in death by her mother Ella Mae Coleman, father Robert Frank Keno, Sr., and sister Gwendolyn Keno. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 26 years Lynn Ray Amous, daughter Racquel L. Brandon (Antonio), son Lovell D. Golden, granddaughter Symone M. Brandon, grandsons .Anariss K. Brandon and Adonis A. Brandon, great-grandson Dalhay E. Lofton, Jr., brother Robert F. Keno, Jr. and sister Kathleen Keno, niece Ella L. Day, nephews Jack L. Golden, Derek A. Johnson, and Robert F. Keno III (Stephanie), and great aunt Mozell Grant and a host family and friends that will dearly miss her.
